Offspring of Loki. Fenrir fathered the wolves Sköll and Hati who chase the sun and the moon across the sky until Ragnarök, at which pint they catch and devour the celestial beings. Fenrir himself will break free from his bounds at Ragnarök and devour the one eyed god Odin. Fenrir's rapid growth foretold great trouble so the gods bound him with a magical unbreakable chain. Fenrir bit off the right hand of the god Týr in revenge.
