Beast of Gevaudan • Pin

The Beast of Gévaudan is the name given to the man-eating animal that terrorized the province of Gévaudan between 1764 and 1767. Descriptions from that period could identify the beast as a lion, hyena or large wolf with formidable teeth and claws, but it's identity is still subject of debate. The beast was reported killed several times before the attacks finally stopped.
